Hi, I’m Kenneth Llambelis. I’m one of the head makeup artists at Abracadabra Super Store in the heart of New york City. It’s funny how I got into makeup. I went to an art-based high school for four years, and during that time, I got really competitive into Halloween costume contests. And I started working at Abracadabra about four years ago in my freshman year of college. During which time I started really expanding my expertise in makeup and really experimenting with some of the theatre brands like Ben Nye, Mehron and Kryolan, and still practicing on myself. But then about two years ago, Abracadabra hired a make up artist who started doing in house makeup at the store. They were showing artists and then asked me if I wanted to be a part of the team. And I was a little unsure about it. It was my first time doing makeup on anyone other than myself, but I became addicted and since then I started running the section previous years and continued on doing makeup for photo shoots, theatre, and film productions.
