How to Contour Your Drag Queen Makeup

Transcript

Hi, my name’s Kenneth Llambelis. I’m one of the head makeup artists at Abracadabra Superstore in the heart of New York City. You can find out more about me and the store Abracadabra at www.abracadabrasuperstore.com.

After that’s applied, we will start working on contouring the face even more using powders. Take another soft, fluffy brush, we will go in with the highlight of this color. We’ll do it down the nose, then center of the forehead, apples of the cheek. We’ll do a highlight on the chin and the shape that we created before with the cream highlighters, right on the upper lip where the Cupid’s bow is. So now that we have the highlight, we’re going to go in with the contour. We’re gonna go where it says “”sun”” right here and just pick up some of that darker bronze color. And this is gonna go right here under the hollow of the cheek, temples of the forehead, and right under the chin highlight. Make it really dark here just to over up the face. So after that I’m gonna go in with a smaller brush. Again, still continuing with the contour. The contour, right under this highlight, just to make the cheek pop a little bit more. Also we’re going to take the same small contour brush and go right into the nose, just on the sides. You want to make the highlight that you put over it before pop a little bit more. It’s gonna give you a slimmer, more pronounced nose.

Our next step is we’re just going to darken the contours even more by taking this darker brown pressed shadow. Just get it onto a little fluffy brush. Just spread there, really bringing out that jawbone. We’re going to continue it down onto the jaw line. Just gonna blend it out with your large fluffy brush. And now we’re going to go in for another round of highlighting, but this time, the white shimmery pressed shadow. This is only going to go right on the cheeks and smooth out the nose. Right on the upper cheekbone, going down. Going to go down the front of the nose, a little on the forehead, and little on the chin. Blend that out, again with a large brush. And on the last step, we’re going to add a little bit of pink blush to the cheeks. It’s going to go right on the apples of the cheek. And then your drag face is complete.
