How to Do Vampire Eye Makeup

Transcript

Hi, my name’s Kenneth Llambelis. I’m one of the head makeup artists at Abracadabra Superstore in the heart of New York City. You can find out more about me and the store Abracadabra at www.abracadabrasuperstore.com.

So for when working with the vampire eye look, you want to make it look like he’s dead. And I give it a more dramatic look, but at the same time again not wearing too much makeup, kind of like rockerish, but the day after when everything is all smudged up. It’s kind of the more where you want to go. For the eyes, I’m going to take a deep purple liner. This is a purple dash lilac, and I’m going to start by going into the water line of his eyes. Again, it doesn’t have to be perfect, I’m just adding a bit of a dimension to it, and then you’re going to put a little bit on the top, there you don’t need that much because you’ll be covering it with another color. You’re then going to go in with a kind of like a light brown shadow, using a mixed tone by Benni. You can just get the product on there and then tap all the excess off, so you don’t get powder everywhere. I’m just going to go right over the bottom line created, then upwards and out. I think I’m going to take a round, fluffy brush and just blend outward. Okay, and you don’t want any harsh lines, because we’re trying to make him look like he’s not wearing makeup. Then you have your vampire eyes.
