How to Draw a P in Graffiti

Transcript

My name is Paes164 and I’m a professional artist. I’ve been painting since a teenager, and I’ve been doing it for 20 years now. Find me at Paes164.com (p-a-e-s-164.com) My Facebook is facebook.com/paes_art. Next we’re going up to the letter P. Gonna start off with a little throwy. Lets give it one sweep over. Boom! It’s really just again keeping it nice and simple. Nice and chubby. Nice and quick when we’re out painting this style of letter. Little bit of 3D and a little bit of fill and there you go letter P bubble style. K next we’re going to take the P and do a blockbuster style. It’s real simple. Nice and big. Just always keeping the letter in the frame of the block. Do a quick sketch, come back with the same color you used to sketch with. Fill in. Got that base block lined out. Come in a do a clean outline. We’ll come in and do a couple little cracks and knock out an inner outline also the inner gel and actually come and run against those crack lines and then continue on with the inner outline of the letter. Boom! Letter P blockbuster. Okay next up the wild style P. Lets see where we’re going to take it. You do some much with these letters. It’s really up to you. Just a matter of what your style develops to. Got a rough sketch down. Fill it in. Work my way all the way around. Come in with some other yellows and give it some cool little highlights. Or actually going to build off some pieces. You know just adding little lips and stuff and I will define them more with the outline. Begin with a darker color. After the outline come straight down off the corners that are open. Create a 3D. Got that wrapped up. Let’s do some inner outlining. You know skinny’s great for inner and outlining, outlining your piece and getting the details in. Just about the only time you really want to break out a fat cap is with those big bubbly letters and of course you know anything big you want to get done quick, but just as far as the fill: German outlines, McClarens, New York outlines. All of those look great to get the job done. And with an outer outline I’ll be done. Boom! Little wild style P for Paes. Isn’t that so precious.
