My name is Ben Nemzer and I’m a magician. One of my specialties is close up magic, which is magic with ordinary objects: decks of cards, ropes, rubber bands, things that are borrowed, mind reading, mentalism. And I do that all over New York City; performing magic, teaching magic, anywhere where I can perform, I do. Here we are in Tannen’s Magic, the oldest magic shop in New York City. On any given day here, you can find anyone from beginners, who have never even seen or done a magic trick before in their lives, to the most experienced, seasoned professionals. I’m gonna teach you some of the basics of magic, that you guys can start performing right away.
