Now we got the 3-step, also known as the James Brown. I mean, us b-boys don’t call it that, but it was a move that James Brown did. I don’t even think he knew what he was doing but, he just did it. So, in the middle of his performance he would just do it, 1-2-3 and then do his jasper and get up and go “”Hey!”” Alright, so it’s a little bit more difficult than the 6-step even though, it’s shorter steps. But try to follow along, alright?
So, the first step is the same thing. One, your right leg is going to go to your left and your hands go to your right, boom. Now, instead of kicking back, your left leg’s going to kick all the way around. Alright? And your going to exaggerate this move. Alright? Breaking is about exaggeration you know? You want to express yourself. So, now your going to exaggerate your left leg going around like so. Bam! Alright? And now, the third step. At the same time your left leg kicks in, your right leg kicks back. Your foot, kicks back like that. Bam! Alright? So, from here,2 and together, 3. Alright, so let’s do it again. 1-2-3, 1-2-3, that’s the 3-step. Alright? So, let’s do it with some music.
So here we go. One-my right leg goes to the left, hands go to the right. Boom! Alright? Two-your left leg goes around and Three-your left leg kicks through, right leg kicks back. Alright? now it’s also important while you do this move and other footwork basic moves, you have your hands on the floor like that not, your palm’s down. You want your fingertips on the floor alright?-so you have more height. Alright so, one, both of my hands see? My palms down on the floor. Two, you kick your leg to the left.
