Whassup, everybody. My name is Kid Glyde. I’m the leader of the Dynamic Rockers, pretty famous B-Boy. I travel around the world, I organize events. I’ve been dancing for 15 years. So I think I’m pretty credible to teach you. Be positive, be strong, let’s do it.
Now, what you’ve got to wear is whatever you want. I mean we have b-boy gear. What I like to wear is my Dickies, Dickies scrubs. You know, doctor pants. Dynamic and Rock Steady, when they battle at Lincoln Center, they were all wearing nurse outfits. You know, the top and the bottom. They were battling like that. So I like to be traditional but yet new, and I like the Dickie pants. I don’t really wear the shirts. I wear my crew shirts. I like to wear tank tops. Endora headspin hats. I don’t usually wear them. As you saw before, I had the hand-glide glove. I prefer to break in running sneakers. Running sneakers are cool, I love those. They’re light. But you need something with grip. Something with grip so you won’t just slide around the floor. It might hurt your ankles. Something to support your ankles. You want to dress fresh. If you are able to enter a cypher, and then leave the cypher looking the way you did when you entered it, then you did a good job. You’ve completed becoming a b-boy. Because b-boys are always fresh. They keep their style fresh, they’re about staying clean and fresh. If you go in, your sneaker get all dusted up and dirty, then obviously you’re not doing the moves right. You’re just moving, and if anything, finishing cleaning up the floor. Keep it fresh.
