Edwin: Cha-cha timing in bachata. We’re going to start in open position. Gentlemen, you’re going to lead the ladies back. That’s forward for us. One, two, step and middle. Let’s try that again. And one, two, step and middle. One more time, and one, two, step and middle. Now we’re going to go back with the right leg for the gentleman, left leg for the ladies. Back and step and middle. Now with the cha-cha timing, it’s going to go one, two, cha-cha-cha, back and cha-cha-cha. One, and cha-cha-cha, back and cha-cha-cha.
So gentlemen, the first thing we need to do is lead the ladies with our left hand pushing forward, middle, cha-cha-cha. Ladies, you’re going to push the gentleman back. Back, middle, tap-tap-tap. One and cha-cha-cha and back and cha-cha-cha. So this is a very interactive step. Make sure you really feel that you’re pushing and pulling, feel each other’s tension, and have fun with this step. Now let’s try it with it with some music.
