The next trick I’m showing you is called the Break Away. This trick is really important because it sets up the yo yo at a sideways angle, so you can do sideways style tricks.
As you can see, the yo-yo’s positioned at a sideways angle, and from here, you can do a lot of tricks from the side that you can’t do if you throw it from the front. Visually, when you’re doing tricks from the side, you can face the audience and they can see the yo-yo better than if you are doing from the front. From the Break Away, you can do tricks like Man on the Flying Trapeze, or the Double or Nothing, Around the World. That’s the Break Away.
