Ashle: He, this is Ashle and Henri, and we’re going to show you Advanced BaChaCha. Mixing Bachata and Cha Cha Cha together we’re gonna give you a couple more advanced moves to make it funky.
Henri: Yes, so let’s demonstrate the pattern.
Ashle: You start with the basic Bachata. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Now we’re gonna go forward. One, two, three, cha, cha, cha. Turn, three, cha, cha, cha. And single, single, single, single. So let’s break that down. What you’ll notice first, you have your basic element. You have your Bachata. Yeah, to the side, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Now what’s important here, Henri’s moving his hand to invite me. Right? So I know now that we’re gonna go forward. So we’re going to switch it up. One, two, three, cha, cha, cha. He’s facing each other. Yeah? Now this comes from a ballroom technique, the New Yorker, but we’re making it funky. So we’re going to rock forward, boom, with the chest, cha, cha, cha. Now he’s gonna lead me with the opposite arm. We’re gonna let go of each other, turn around, come right back, cha, cha, cha. And we rock, single, ha, single, ha, bum, bum, bum, bum. Yeah? So we’ve just chosen to put the moves together in this combination. You can go right back to your Bachata basic. But we kind a like to finish it with the sway.
Henri: Yeah, for the guys, when you do the basic steps here, guys. You can go from a closed position or an open position. OK? Right now we are closed, and then I’m gonna change it to my open right before the next part. We go forward, and then you put the lady back. So the important thing is you lead the lady forward with the right and send them back. Girls, they are going to respond as a reaction of your lead. Right? So forward and cha, cha, and then from here you put the lady. But sometimes you can now lead her a little bit away from you, so then they know that it’s a turn, and cha, cha, cha. When you do the Cha Cha Cha, you make sure you grab the lady’s back into your right arm. So then you can do the little sway. Now we talked before you can use the basic technique. So you’re able to do a little popcorn, or you sway your body from side to side. And we go back to our one, two, da, da, and five, six, seven, da. Let’s try with some music.
Ashle: Five, six, five, six, seven, and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, and one, two, three, four, five, six, change the lead. And one, two, three, cha, cha, cha, two, three, cha, cha, cha, two, ba, ba. And again, two, three, four, five, six, seven, and one, two, three, cha, cha, cha, two, three, cha, cha, cha [makes sound]. So there you have the advanced way to combine Cha Cha and Bachata to get BaChaCha.
Henri: Exactly.
