– Ashle’:Now, we’ll break it down. Basically, you’re taking your basic from the bachata with the basic of the cha-cha and you’re just putting them together. The two musical elements complement each other so you’re able to dance both dance styles to the same song. So, when you start with the basic of the bachata, you’re just stepping to the side. One, two, three, tap, four, five, six, seven, tap, eight. Now, you want to add the element of cha-cha into that, you can go one, two, three, and four, five, six, seven, and eight. Let’s do it one more time.
We’ll go to the side, one, two, three, back step, five, six, seven, and eight. Now, the girls are going to go forward on the one. The guys are going to move back. One, two, three, cha-cha-cha, two, three, cha-cha-cha. From there you just go back into the bachata. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, cha-cha-cha, two, three, cha-cha-cha, two, three, cha-cha-cha.
– Henri:For the guys, the way you lead this is when you’re holding the lady, you lead a basic step, right, it goes to the side, left, right, left, you tap, you can tap or do a little cha-cha, it’s up to you, and slide to the right, and tap to the left.
From here, you got to change directions and bring the lady with your right hand backwards. So, the lady will step forward towards you. One, two, three, then you do a cha-cha and four, five, six, cha-cha. One, two, three, cha-cha, and six, seven, cha-cha.
