“Hi, I’m Andy ‘The Magic Man’ Segal. I’m here at Willow Billiards in Hoboken, New Jersey doing some trick shots and pool instruction. So if you’re ready, let’s get started.
Alright, for this shot I have a cone, a rubber ball, bridge across the table, and a rack down there to expand the pocket. Now, the concept of this shot was originally invented by a friend of mine named Matt McPhail, nicknamed ‘no fail McPhail’. The idea, it’s kind of like a game of Jacks. What I’m going to do, I’m going to balance the ball and catch the ball but after I bounce it, before I catch it, I have to hit the one ball. The one ball’s going to go up table, come back down, I’m going to bounce it again, hit the one ball under the bridge, catch the ball, the one ball goes in the pocket. Then, I repeat for the two ball but this time I have to bounce twice and I have to hit the two ball after the second bounce. Then of course the three ball is three bounces. Oh, and did I tell you? The cue stick cannot touch the table. Just to make it a little harder.
And that’s a game of Jacks.”
