Hi, I’m Andy, the “Magic Man” Segal. I’m here at Willow Billiards in Hoboken New Jersey doing some trick shots and pool instruction. So if you’re ready, lets get started. All right, so now sometimes you want to kick one rail. Like in this case, I would kick off this rail, but lets say I didn’t want to go that way. Lets say there was a ball blocking my path. So now I’m going to want to go two rails. So I’m going to go 1, 2 into the 14. Now how do you judge that? Now this is a very simple system. What you do is you take the line between the Q ball and the 14 taken midpoint, okay. Go directly at the corner pocket that you’re going to go around. And then just shift the Q stick with the same angle. So this line here shifts over to this line here, and you hit the Q ball with running English. In this case, the Q ball’s going around the left, that’s why we’re hitting left English, and I hit right into the 14. Now there’s another system if you have a ball hanging in a pocket. Lets say I have the Q ball here for example, okay, and I’m blocked. The only thing you have to remember is that this diamond here on the short rail, just remember the number 3. If I aim directly at that diamond with running English, in this case it would be right English, okay, the Q ball’s going to start at this diamond here, this line from that diamond to this diamond, okay. I have to remember the number 3 1, 2, 3. So that line takes me three diamonds down from where I started and makes the 15. Now of course I may not be on that line. This is 3, every half is 4, that’s 4, that’s 5, that’s 6. So here’s 4. This is 4. So if I take this line, this is 3, this is 4, so the Q ball is lined up from 4 all the way to here. 1, 2, 3, 4, that should take you right into the ball. And so on. So if you remember 3, just go every half of another number, that should help guide your two-rail kick.
