How to Make the “Spin Push” Beginner Pool Shot

Transcript

Hi, I’m Andy “the Magic Man” Segal. I’m here at Willow Billiards in Hoboken, New Jersey. Doing some trick shots and full instructions. So if you’re ready, let’s get started. So if you remember the hustler bank shot, we had the cue ball and the eight ball frozen and we banked the eight ball. Well, what happens if you don’t, if you’re not very good at that shot or you wanna play the eight ball here? Well, there is a way to make the eight ball here, of course it’s an illegal shot. Now um. An illegal shot is when the tip of the cue stick is touching the cue ball for more than the, a normal stroke. You’re actually pushing the cue ball. What I’m gonna do is I’m gonna shoot straight into the eight with a little bit of that sided, right hand english in this case. I’m gonna touch the cue ball and once it’s touching I’m gonna leave it there for a second and then push. And the eight ball goes in the pocket. Now you can also make the eight ball like this. Shooting it this way. And again, this is an illegal shot. This one is illegal. You make the eight ball that way. Or you can also make the ball this way. and that’s illegal. And then finally this shot here. This is probably the most illegal shot of them all. That you can’t do. But I’ve actually gotten so good at playing that way. Nobody will play with me anymore.
