Hi, my name is Payton. I’m the manager of Airsoft Hero located in the historic district of Hampden in Baltimore, Maryland. And I’m Joshua Meyer. I’m the tech here at Airsoft Hero. And we’ll be talking to you about airsoft. As far as choosing the right gear for you, obviously, you want something that’s not gonna be too big and bulky. If you’re wearing a vest or camouflage, you want it to be properly fitting. Not too loose hanging off of you, so you don’t snag any twigs or branches. That could be detrimental to your gear. And it could also help the enemies with your position. You also want gear that will fit the game that you’re playing. If you’re doing a CQB battle, you obviously don’t want a long range rifle to use, and vice versa. As far as some of the gear that you carry, you want to make sure you have plenty of ammo, you have a lot of spare magazines, extra bbs, a battery, and anything else you think you might need out on the field. For the camouflage, you don’t want something that’s not gonna blend in with your environment. If you’re in the woods, you want a woodland type environment. You don’t want to use desert camouflage in a woodland environment or urban camouflage in a desert environment. Of course, you can kind of get the point, and use your own discretion for that. Another very important piece of gear to have is a camel bag. Water, and something to carry water in is obviously one of the most important pieces of gear to have strictly for safety purposes. Also, another important piece of gear to have is eye protection. If you’re under 18, I would suggest that you wear a full face mask. If you’re over 18, wear full seal goggles, and use something else to cover your face. Something that’s very important, is that you don’t want to be slowed down by the gear. While it’s important to have all the gear you need, you don’t want to carry excess gear. Because it just causes more noise, more weight, and it will wear you out a lot faster.
