When it comes to positioning your right hand on the bass guitar, I like to start with the pick-up that’s closest to the middle, between the fretboard and the bridge. On this bass it’s easy, because there is only one set of pick-ups. Some like a jazz bass series will have two sets, so you’ll have more options. If we move our hand closer to the fretboard, we are gonna get a warmer tone with less attack. If we move our hand closer to the bridge, we get a more crisp, clear tone. That can come in handy, for punk passages or often for really fast passages we have to play quickly.
