The pentatonic scale has 5 notes. It’s comprised of the first 3 notes, and then, the 5th and 6th note of the minor scale on a bass guitar. We talked about starting the major pentatonic scale on C. The minor pentatonic scale will have the same notes, if we play A minor pentatonic, starting on A, the 5th note of the major C pentatonic scale. If we use the same notes, we get what would be called the A minor pentatonic scale. Now, I’ll play for you 2 octave pentatonic scale. And that’s how to play the A minor pentatonic scale on the bass guitar.
