Hand Signs for the Drinking Game Thumper

Transcript

Thumpers drinking game best strategy.

Once again, as with most of these games, speed of play. If you increase the speed you’re going to get more drinking. So, increase the speed, you’re going to get more people to miss hand signs, to mess up the order of the hand signs, or mess up the rhythm of the game which induces drinking, which we like.

Another stratergy is there’s no rule about how long you have to hold a hand sign up for. Now, it can’t be muddled so no one can see it. But you could definitely be a little tricky about it. So, everyone at the table can’t be like, hey man I’m just playing the thumpers game. They have to be right on you, because if they miss it they’re screwed.

If someone misses your sign they’re not going to be able to pick it up. They’re not going to be able to remember it. I guess another strategy that goes along with that is that you need to focus and constantly be practicing in your own mind. If it’s not your turn, you’re practicing. You’re walking through it with them. I’m watching this guy do it, and in my mind I’m like, he’s doing number one middle finger hook ’ems, and memorizing it with him. Basically doing the whole game with him, so if he points at me I can just start right in and not have a moment of hesitation and remember everything that he did.

A few common hand signs that my friends and I play, you have the loser. You have any number – one, two, three, four, five. One, two, three, four, five, any variation of numbers. You have the aloha. You have I love you, or is that rock and roll. Is that rock and roll? Is that rock and roll? That’s rock and roll. I love you. Hook ’ems, or rock and roll. And, my favorite sign language, it means I love you in sign language. That’s pretty much it. I guess thumbs up. What the heck! I forgot thumbs up.

That’s it, man. Common hand signs. Strategy. Use them.
