So those patterns that I talked about before were great for playing in four four time.
I’m going to show you a pattern for playing in three four time. You can feel the three. One, two, three, one, two, three. Every time my thumb hits the bass note that’s the one count.
So that’s a good pattern for playing in three four or six eight actually. You can count it in six. One, two, three, four, five, six, one, two, three, four, five, six.
Now I’ll show you one more pattern that’s really good to get down for four four again. This is straight up, come back, and kind of loop around a little bit. I’ll show you what it is. It’s thumb, index, middle, ring, middle, index, middle, index again.
So that’s what it is slow. I’ll even slow it down some more.
It sounds great. That pattern sounds great playing it slow, or it sounds great when you play it fast.
Those are some great patterns to get you started.
