Let’s talk about some technique now. One of the terms you may come across somewhere is called alternate picking. And all that means is that instead of just playing down, for every note, right , I am going to start playing down up, down up , so I am going to alternate. Up down, up down, or down up, down up. So, all right you can see I am playing down and then up, down and then up. So, remember, every single time you go down, you have to come up anyways, so all I am doing is using every motion to complete a thought, right. So I am going down up. There you go, alternate picking.
