Okay, let’s get a little more complicated. This is going to be our 3rd strum – it’s got a lot of details here so I’m going to go real, real slow. So we go like this: down, down, down, up, up, down, down. So that seems like a lot but you’ve heard this rhythm all your life. Down, down, down, up, up, down, down. Let’s break that in half so it doesn’t seem so crazy – so I’m going: down, down, down, up… down, down, down, up. Now the second half is just up, down, down. You can do that – up, down, down. So if I put it all together: down, down, down, up, up, down, down; down, down, down, up, up, down, down. All right, so why don’t we try and do that with some chords. So we have G, and E minor, and C major, and D major – those are the 4 chords we’ve been using here. The song is going to go like this: 1 time on G, then I’m going to move to E minor, and then right away to C – we’re trying not to stop there – and then D. So there I was sort of in time – I sort of stopped for C. It’s okay if you stop, but the goal is that we’re trying to get through all those chords forever without stopping. So G again, E minor, C, and D and then just to finish off our song we’re going to play one more G chord, like you’ve reached home base again and that’s it – that can be your 3rd strum.
