Jared: I’m Jared Freid and I’m the prank expert. I’m a stand-up comedian. I love good prank because it gets people out of the monotony of the day, whether it’s their desk being wrapped or your baby mama coming in and interrupting a good work day.

Prankster: I call this one all wrapped up. My coworker took the day off, so I took the day off and wrapped his whole desk in wrapping paper. Everything. The pens, the phone, the coffee mug. You know what a desk entails. The usual stuff, like a keyboard. I’m even wrapping the stapler. Even the staples inside of it are wrapped. You can’t believe I did it? Believe it. Now, when he comes back he just wants to slip in the office, but it’s about initial reaction, big gut surprise. He’s going to get quite a gift.

Colleague: Who did this? And now I have two.

I got a great prank for anyone that works with a search typer. It’s called auto correct. A search typer is someone who types while looking down at the computer. It’s probably an older person in your office. Maybe they call this thing the Google machine. Who knows? It’s specifically for the search typer in your office. What you do is you go to their Word. You go to Tools. Go to Auto Correct. And then you’re going to take words like clients and replace it with idiots and add it. You’re going to take invoices and replace it with garbage and add it. Take sincerely, replace it with you suck, and add it. You’re going to click okay. And now, anytime they write about invoices and clients and sincerely, it’s going to change the whole nature of the sentence.

Prankster: Jillian just went to the bathroom so this is the perfect time for the prank, urgent meeting. What you do is you sent out an email to the whole office telling them that there’s going to be a meeting in the conference room. So you take the inner-office email, you keep it in all caps, make it sound crucial. I’m going to subject it, urgent meeting. Lots of exclamation points. Keep it in capital letters so everyone knows you’re yelling. Then you’re going to write, ‘be in the conference room in five minutes.’ Then make a promise that can’t be kept. ‘I’m bringing snacks.’ Nothing makes a workplace more upset than a meeting that never happens and snacks that never come.

Jillian: Hey guys! What’s everyone doing in here?

Prankster: I call this next one baby mama drama. What I did is I put an add on Craigslist looking for an actress to play a lunatic to scare my coworker. A woman is going to come in here, say that she is pregnant with my coworker’s baby, and flip out. Is he having a baby with her? No. Is she having a baby with him? No. Will my coworker’s know? Absolutely not. You want an actress. You want someone that’s seasoned. You want someone that has experience in all phases of lunancy. You want someone that knows what a drunk person would look like when they’re ranting and raving. You want someone who’s timely, because you want to know when the prank is going to be happening. And, you know, you want somebody that, they don’t have to look good. They just have to look crazy, and at some point, she will point in here, go a little nuts about their baby, and then leave. And everyone in the office will be very afraid to say something.

Prankster: Could be a lot of fun. Could really get some things going. And then at the end of the day.

Actress: Where is he? Where is he?! There he is. There he is! This, this is, this is your baby. This is yours! Don’t look at me like that! You know it, I know it, this guy here knows it. Everyone in this office knows that this is yours! This is yours. This is yours. And now everybody knows it. They know it. It’s your baby. Don’t think you’re going to get out of paying child support for this. I’m glad I found you. Have a good meeting because we’ll be in touch, alright? I have your email, but don’t forget little Johnny.

Welcome to the birthday party prank. My coworker just got a promotion. When people get promotions, they get pretty cocky. So, we took his office and turned it into a 13 year old girl’s birthday party. This prank is twofold. First is the initial shock of the balloons and the decorations. Second, there’s a treasure map. Because hidden in some of these balloons are some of their personal items. Staplers, phones, keys, even their mouse.

This is called toilet paper admirer. Very simple. You take a roll of toilet paper. You write a note starting backwards, from the janitor. I’m going to write one to my coworker Harrison. Now, you put the toilet paper back on the roll with the paper going over the top. You roll it up as much as you can until you just see a little tip. Now, if your coworker comes in, and he has a note from the janitor from above.

Prankster: Everyone loves a free office snack. That’s why I came up with the mayo donut. You need some supplies. You need donuts. You need mayonnaise. You need a Ziploc bag. And you need a knife. What you do is you fill your Ziploc bag with mayonnaise. You’re going to push it to the corner and cut a little bit of a hole right there. That makes your donut filler. Then you’re going to take a glazed donut. You’re going to cut four holes around the edges of the donut. Then, you’re going to fill those holes with the mayonnaise. See it looks like your regular cream that would go in a donut. It doesn’t taste like that though. So once you have your donut filled, it’ll look something like this. Then you place the donuts here. Put up your signs for a Happy Monday, and someone has a delicious breakfast. Not really.

Colleague: Hey! Happy Monday. These donuts will cure the Monday blues. Guys! There’s donuts! I love the cream filling. These are the best. These are the best, guys.

Jillian: Okay guys, I’m going to go ahead and take my lunch. I’ll be back in like an hour.

Prankster: I got another great office prank. This one’s called the signature switch. Everyone’s email has a signature. We’re just going to take one of my coworker’s and switch it to something different. Jillian just went to lunch, so I came here to her computer. Go to settings. Go down to the signature page. Keep all of the fonts and colors the same, so then when she comes back she won’t notice any difference. She’s the Head of Research. We’ll just make her the Head Bitch in Charge. She has a quote. We’ll change the quote to, ‘I work therefore I poop.’ She also tells the office she loves brunch. Maybe she loves something else like natural disasters. Now you click save, and you get the heck out of here.

So look what I found on my coworker’s Facebook page. What would you do? What would I do? Well, I’d do the copier paper prank. Take this picture, we make about, oh I don’t know, 200 copies? Now I have 200 of my friend lover boy here. You take these pages, you put it back in the copier tray, so now any time someone prints something from this machine, guess what’s in the background?

Prankster: I got another great office prank for you. This one is called the slow mouse. Everyone is trying to get through their workday as fast as possible. This will be the one thing that’ll slow them down. Go to your system preferences, then you’re going to click on mouse. Get in here as quick as you can while your colleague is out at the bathroom or at lunch. Here you have tracking, which controls the mouse arrow across the screen. Put it to its slowest. And here’s scrolling. So now when they scroll down a page, it’s going to take them forever. And click out of here. It’s going to feel like you’re pulling a brick across the page.

Colleague 1: Can you pull up that document real quick? We need to get it faxed to me.

Colleague 2: Of course.

Here’s another fun office prank. Everyone has their favorite drink. They might like coffee, maybe tea, maybe a little whiskey in your coffee. I’m not here to judge. We call this the frozen drink. You find out your coworker’s favorite drink and we freeze it overnight, then when they walk away we switch it out.

Looks like I’m the first one at the office. Good time for a prank. This one is called ambidextrous. Everyone is used to the way their desk is set up just because it’s comfortable. So we take the things from the left side move it to the right side, things from the right side moved to the left side. And then shock your neighbor, making them make a quick move. So this is what I’m going to do. I’m going to take the phone and switch it with the stapler. Take the mouse and switch it with this dish of water. I’ll move this little clowny desk guy. Now the righty desk is a lefty desk.

Want to mess with your work neighbor? Here’s a great one. It’s called the frozen computer. You’re going to open up a bunch of windows in your own computer. Search for rash creams, Russian bride websites, anything that’s embarrassing. Then you’re going to take a screen shot, save it, put it on your flash drive, pop it into his computer.

Once the flash is put into the computer, you’re going to open it up, take your screen shot, move it on to the desktop Then you’re going to open system preferences, going to go to desktop and screen savers, put it into your desktop background, close out all the windows, eject your flash drive, and you’re done.
