How to Rap Fast

Transcript

Rapping fast is not the easiest thing in the world to do, but it is possible. Rapping fast is, really, what they call rapping on the two because most beat happen by one, two three, four, one, two, three, four. Now, rapping on the two, meaning that you’re speeding up your cadence in the song and rapping faster than usual.

And the way that you practice this is by copying somebody who is actually a master of it. I can give you two examples. One person you want to study is someone by the name of Twister. Twista is a rapper from the Midwest, and he is very, very fast.

Another person you can study is a rapper by the name of Busta Rhymes. These two rappers have really mastered the fast rap. Oh, also Ludacris. Ludacris is another rapper you can study. Ludacris goes between fast and slow, but the challenge about rapping fast is enunciation. By slowing down, actually, and mastering how to rap slow, it’s easier to rap fast.

Focusing on rapping on the two instead of the four is how you will master the ability to rap fast. Alright. Study the greats. By studying the greats and learning how they did it, and mastering one of their rap songs, it will show you how to rap fast.

It’s hard for me to tell you in this video without having the beats to show you exactly how to do it, so the easiest way is to study someone who is really masterful at it. That’s Twista, that’s Busta Rhymes, and that’s Ludacris. You study those guys and you’ll be good to go. That’s how you learn to rap fast.
