How to Sing with Cari Cole

Transcript

Hi, I’m Cari Cole. I’m a celebrity vocal coach and artist development expert, and I help artists find their voice, craft their music, and create successful music careers. I’ve worked with Donald Fagen from Steely Dan, I’ve worked with Courtney Love from Hole, I’ve worked with the band Journey. I help people who want to become Rock Stars learn the inner and outer game of what it takes to be a performer in this new era of entertainment and help them create success in their careers.

I started music when I was six years old. I started with a Baritone ukulele guitar, which is a 4 string guitar, and my mother was a classical pianist so she literally wrote the scores out for me and made me practice every day. That was the deal, if I got the guitar I had to practice every day. I didn’t actually start training my voice until I was 18, um just turning 19. That’s when I moved to New York and I found my music mentor and I started really taking music seriously. And I also all along the way was pursuing being an artist. I put out a record in 2000 called “The Circle of Fire” that was inspired by the New York Times best seller the Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

The biggest reason that people come to work with me is to make their voices sound better, is to make their songs better and to be more successful as artists out there. I mean ultimately every single person that walks through my door you know wants to have a successful music career, and so we work very tangibly on all of those elements. It’s how to make your voice sound better, how to deepen your phrasing and how to be an overall better performer.
