How to Do an Intermediate Party Stroll in Step Dance

Transcript

Hi, name is Victor Sho and this is my assistant Oscar Acevedo and we are going to show you a beginner level party stroll. Okay? So, simple. You’re going to get grounded as usual. We’re going to stroll to the left, stomp with the right, stroll to the right, stomp with the left. We’re going to stroll to the left again. We’re going to point our fingers, our arms to the right, and stomp with the right. We’re going to stroll to the right and do the same thing towards the left. Okay? Cool. So let’s try that again. Five, six, seven, and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.

From here, what you’re going to do is you’re going to stroll to the left again and then you’re going to clomp over your head, and then you’re going to stroll to the right again, and as you stroll, you’re going to rub down your party. Yep! Whatever. Got to get sexy with it. Got to have some swag with it. Ladies, you can feminize it. Guys, you can get masculine with it. Do a body roll, however you want to do it, but it’s your own flavor. This is the benefit of party strolling. It’s a dance. You can groove it, you do it how you do. Yeah?

So what happens is after you clomp, step over, put your hands on your body, grab your pants, stomp. Okay? Then you’re going to stroll to the left, bring your hands back, and then stroll over here, step, bring your hands even more further back to punch forward, bop! And that’s the combo right there. Okay?

Let’s take it back slowly and then you’ll see how it flows. Five, six, seven, and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven punch, eight. Me and Oscar are going to do this to music and you’re going to see how the music helps you get that groove that you want with the party stroll, which is what makes the movement more different from a power step. Alright? Cue the music. Five, six, five, six, seven, ho! Again! And that’s how you do a beginner party stroll.
