Instructions

  • Step 1: Touch the donkey Touch the donkey where the tail is to be placed before the game begins and remember how high you have to raise your arm for perfect tail positioning.
  • Step 2: Stand straight Stand in front of the donkey before the spinning begins. Spot a marker on the ground to use as a reference to position your feet after the spinning, such as a crack in the sidewalk or lines on a tile floor.
  • TIP: Recommend that the game supervisor draw a line on the ground so everyone starts in the same position to eliminate cheating. This will aid in finding your mark, plus it diverts suspicion.
  • Step 3: Position the blindfold Position the blindfold so you can peek out of the bottom.
  • Step 4: Find the ground marker Peek through the bottom of the blindfold and line up your feet with the marker on the ground.
  • Step 5: Pin the tail Slowly walk toward the donkey and raise your arm to where it was at the donkey. Stick the tail on and you’ve won.
  • FACT: Donkey’s milk was a popular beauty treatment in ancient Egypt and is used in beauty products today.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Choose radio operator Direct one person to operate the radio.
  • Step 2: Arrange two pillow rows Arrange two rows of pillows, one pillow for each player, except the music operator.
  • Step 3: Start the music and walk Remove one pillow and start the music. The participants walk around the outside of the pillow rows.
  • Step 4: Stop the music Stop the music. The participants scramble to find a pillow to sit on. Only one participant to a pillow.
  • TIP: Have the music operator look in the opposite direction of the participants to eliminate cheating.
  • Step 5: Eliminate one player and one pillow Eliminate the player that did not sit on a pillow and remove another pillow.
  • Step 6: Repeat steps four to six Repeat starting and stopping the music until only one person is left. They are declared the winner.
  • FACT: Musical chairs, also called “Going to Jerusalem,” originated between 1875 and 1880.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Choose a person to start and stop the music throughout the game.
  • Step 2: Set up the chairs in a circle. Have each participant sit in a chair.
  • Step 3: Divide the participants into groups of two or three and assign the name of a fruit, such as pears, bananas, or cherries, to each group.
  • Step 4: Play the music and call out a fruit group. Members of that group get up and walk around the chairs. Remove one of their chairs.
  • Step 5: Stop the music. The participants must find an empty seat and the person without a seat is eliminated.
  • TIP: Have the eliminated person help with the music or call out the next fruit.
  • Step 6: Continue the same process until all the fruit groups are called.
  • Step 7: Call out “upset the fruit basket” and everyone has to get up and walk around the circle. Remove a chair.
  • Step 8: Continue playing until there is one participant in the last chair. They are the last fruit in the basket and win the game.
  • FACT: There are 1,000 different varieties of bananas.

  • Step 3: Reposition player Kindly reposition the player facing the donkey.
  • Step 4: Give tail to player Hand a paper tail with tape on the back to the player. Instruct them to pin it on the donkey.
  • Step 5: Laugh Watch as your friend attempts to find the donkey’s rear end. As each player makes the attempt, join your friends in laughter! The winner is the player whose tail is placed closest to the correct position.
  • FACT: Did you know? Donkeys often live for 25 years or more, but on occasion they can reach the age of 60.
