I hope you guys are ready for this move, because this move is advanced. Alright, it’s called the UFO. Why is it called the UFO? Because it’s out of this world. Only a select few can do this. Believe me. And I’m one of them.

But, you’re here with me today and I’m going to help you guys achieve this difficult move. It’s a little difficult, but I’m going to give you some pointers on how to do it. And you have to keep doing it. Seriously. You have to keep doing it. It took me a while, but the day I got it, I went from doing one, to doing like twenty. I’m telling you. So listen up, I know what I’m saying. Alright, so check it out. You have to get this strong. This whole thing right here, really strong for it.

So the first thing we’re going to do, we’re going to get down low. We’re going to get on our knees, and we’re going to hold ourselves with our palms. So here we go. This is just a little workout to get the strength to building this up. Here, you’re going to try to lift, and just do your best to hold yourself. Here, you’re going to hold yourself as much as you can. It’s pretty difficult, but you also want to work on the stretch.

For this, basically you want to create a 90 degree angle with your knees. You’re going to hold that like that. Stretch like that and try to get your hips down to the ground. Keep your chest up. It’s a good stretch for this, trust me. Then your left hand is going to touch your right knee. It’s another stretch for the other side.

Now, the movement to it, this is the hard part. From my experience, it’s about momentum. So once you get the gist of it, it’s like a momentum. That’s how I do it. So here, we’re going through here. Centered. Your knees are here, you’re centered, and you’re going to go around, like that, with your hand. You’re going to go around your hand. As soon as you go around, you’re placing your other hand down. So as soon as I go around, boom, I place it down. But see the position I put myself in? I put myself in that position right away. Once you catch yourself, with the momentum, you’ll be able to carry yourself around. Let’s try it. Try it with me. So check it out.

One, go around, boom. So that’s the first one. It’s important your hands are close to each other. There is a lot of stuff to do for this move, I know. Trust me. So you’re going to play it over and over again. Your hands have to be like this, once you go to your left, go to your right. Left. Right. Left. Right.

And that’s a UFO.

How to Do a Reverse Hand glide in Break Dancing https://howcast.com/videos/508676-how-to-do-a-reverse-handglide-break-dancing/ Thu, 25 Oct 2012 13:44:51 +0000 https://howcast.com/videos/508676-how-to-do-a-reverse-handglide-break-dancing/

Transcript

Welcome to how to do a reverse hand glide. This move right here, my father created the move. Hence the name glide. Hence my name, Kid Glide. So, a little history about myself.

Check it out. It’s a simple thing. If you want to, use a glove. Right now I’m going to use my Adidas jacket. Put my sleeve down. Basically, we’re going to start from a table top position, alright, what we call pilot. And basically, from there, remember, with the hand glide we were tapping right by our head. Not tapping, but we were like pushing the floor. Instead, we’re going to bring it down to our hips.

We’re here. Instead of going up here, we’re going to stay down here. We’re going to tap this way. So, here we go. We’re going to hold ourselves, tap, tap, tap, tap, alright, like that. Go faster, faster, faster, faster. Let go. That’s reverese hand glide.

My number one tip is to make sure you have balance. Straighten out your legs. You can point your toes, if you want, or flex them. Either or, choose one, don’t stay in between. Make sure you have a lot of balance with the table top.

Work slow. Go slow. Little by little, just like I did. I went slow, slow, slow, and I picked up the speed.

It’s very important that you have balance or else your feet are going to go. You don’t want that. You want to look clean. That’s the number one thing for a B boy is to look fresh and clean.

How to Do a New York Flare in Break Dancing https://howcast.com/videos/508674-how-to-do-a-new-york-flare-break-dancing/ Thu, 25 Oct 2012 13:44:51 +0000 https://howcast.com/videos/508674-how-to-do-a-new-york-flare-break-dancing/

Transcript

Here we are, about to learn how to do the New York Flare, all right.

The only thing that makes it different from any other flare is the beginning. All right, this is how the New York is do it out here New York, yo what up, all right, west coast you all do it differently. All right, so this is kind of hard, it’s just advanced, but you know we’re going to make it happen, so check it out.

Same thing, so let’s say if you do a regular flare, you use your left hand, you’re going to use your right hand, all right? That’s right you’re going right into the flare, you’re not going to hold yourself, all right? If you use your right hand for a regular flare, you’re going to put your left hand down, all right, so check it.

Once I go for my right hand I put it there, I put it like this, all right, not straight. Basically my hand is facing that way, all right, so my right hand is facing to the left. And why, because I’m going to spin on it a little bit. It’s very important that you spin, you’re going to spin on this, all right, and when you’re ready to do the flare you grab the floor, all right, so that you stay stationary because you’re not spinning no more.

You grab the floor, so you have grip, and then from there you start doing the flare, all right, we’re going to go through this. All right, so first, I do my little top rock first, all right, soon as I put my right hand down, I’m going for it. All right, spin, flare, okay? And that’s that, all right, so once you’re spinning, as soon as you catch enough momentum, you’re going to use that momentum, and it’s kind of like a swing, all right, you’re going to use your hip to go all the way around, all right? Here we go, New York Flare.

How to Do a Jackhammer in Break Dancing https://howcast.com/videos/508677-how-to-do-a-jackhammer-break-dancing/ Thu, 25 Oct 2012 13:44:51 +0000 https://howcast.com/videos/508677-how-to-do-a-jackhammer-break-dancing/

Transcript

All right. Let’s go. Jack Hammer time. All right.

First we are gonna go through some phases. All right. Make sure we review a Hopping Hang-glide. All right. So let’s do the Hopping Hang-glide first.

Basically, you’re gonna be in this position. Which we call the Table Top, or Pilot position. All right. From there I’m gonna use my left hand. So I’m gonna be hopping with my left foot and tapping with my right hand. All right. Kinda like this. We are doing this kind of a motion. Hop. Hit. Hop. Hit. Hop. Hit. All right. First, Hopping Hang-glide. All right. Hit. Hop. Hit. Hop. Hit. Hop. All right. Now, a Jack Hammer is no hands. All right. So you want your elbow in a little bit closer. All right. So, we are gonna do once, twice, and then go right into the Jack Hammer. All right. Hit. Hop. Hit. Hop. Hit. Hop. All right.

It’s important, that when you’re doing the Jack Hammer, that you’re using this hand, or you’re going like this. You’re pushing and turning, like this, pushing and turning. Are you watching my hand? I’m doing this motion. Boom. Boom. All right. While you push you want to turn, so that you get back to this position, so you can turn again. So, you are pushing and turning at the same time. Get it? Got it? You want to kind of use your legs, kick out.

There’s different techniques. All right. One that I know is you use your legs. You crunch them in. You push them little by little. Not too much. If you kick them out too much, then you loose balance. All right. So, just little by little.

How to Do Swipes in Break Dancing https://howcast.com/videos/508673-how-to-do-swipes-break-dancing/ Thu, 25 Oct 2012 13:44:51 +0000 https://howcast.com/videos/508673-how-to-do-swipes-break-dancing/

Transcript

Here we go! Kid Glyde.

Swipes. All right, we’re going to go to the next level, this time. For me, this is easier, but like I said earlier with other moves, it’s mental. A lot of moves are mental. There’s fear. Once you get fear in the way, it’s going to block you from doing a lot of things.

This move is fear-based. I remember when I was like 14, when I got this move, I was always scared to do it. But once I overcame the fear, I was able to do it. It’s a basic power move. Swipe’s is a basic power move. You can use it any time, and it’s crucial.

We’re going to do one-legged swipes. Wazzup, one-legged swipes? Here we go. Remember, we’re going to be in an elevated seat. This is the seat, elevated. You see my hips up, they’re really high. It’s important that your hips are this high. For height, and speed-wise too.

Check it out. We’re going to put our right leg in the air, put it as so. OK. Just like I told you guys with the head spins, we’re going to go by quarters. We’re going to go to one side, then to the back, other side, then back to the front. Very important, okay? This will help you turn easier. Once you get better, you can do the half turns, and even whole turns, which is pretty hard, but if you can do it, it’s sick.

Here we go. My right leg’s going to be in the air. That means I’m going to turn to my right. Once I turn to my right, I’m going to land to the left. My whole body’s going to turn, but I’m going to face the left.

Watch. Here, turn to the right, left. That was two feet. Now I’m going to do a one-legged. Here? Boom. Right leg in the air, make sure this kicks up as high as you can. Once it kicks up, your hands go to the right, as so.

We’re doing the four quarters, and then we’re going to do halves. Back to the front. Every time I landed, I landed a different way. So if your right leg is in the air, you’re going to the right, that means you’re landing on your left. You should always look to your left. If you’re using your left leg, that means you’re turning to your left, you land to the right. Those are swipes.

How to Do Advanced Break Dancing Footwork https://howcast.com/videos/508678-how-to-do-advanced-footwork-break-dancing/ Thu, 25 Oct 2012 13:44:51 +0000 https://howcast.com/videos/508678-how-to-do-advanced-footwork-break-dancing/

Transcript

I hope you’re ready to take your footwork to the next level. I’ve got some advanced moves, tricks, and all of that just for you. All right.

Here at Dynamic Rockers Academy, we bring it. We have thirty years of knowledge that has been passed down from my father and other leaders of the Dynamic Rockers and I’m going to show you some of the stuff that we go through. All right.

First, I’m going to show you what a seven step is. All right. I don’t know if you guys already to know, but I’m going to show you the seven step. Then, we’re going to add a little flavor to it, which will make you look more advanced. All right. Check it out.

We’re here in our seat. Remember, this is what we call our seat in Dynamic Rockers Academy. All right. My hands are going to go to the right, right leg to the left. That’s one. All right.

The left leg’s going to kick back, two, all right, similar to our six step.

Three, we’re here. All right. Almost kind of like a push up, but a weird push up. Right hand up, left foot is going to replace it. All right. We’re right here.

Now, this is the hardest part. Five, our hips are going to come over, like that. Our butt’s in the air. Yeah. Then, our left leg is going to kick through, six. Bring it back, seven, and we start over.

Kid Glyde, this is easy, though. Check it out, though. We’ll make it hard. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Oh, added a little slide, so that’s what you want to do.

That little thought, that number five, we’re adding a slide, so basically, our right leg is going to kick through, like this. Just like that, when I slide and our left leg is going to come, kick through. That’s for six, seven. All right. That’s pretty hot, right?

All right, so you just want to add little slides in your footwork. It can be even six step, slide, six step, slide, whatever. You want to add little slides, add quick little steps, whatever. It makes it look more advanced. Plus, don’t forget about your form. Your form is very important. All right.

This is your seat. Your hands always go over your right. Hands go like this, over your knees. All right. If you go this way, same thing. All right. Your hands go over your knees for speed. You come like here, you have more surface area to go, less speed. The less surface area, the faster you go. See, I’m going here fast. Imagine, it would take me longer, right?

All right. Make it happen.

What’s up, Howcast? Another freeze combo for you guys. This time turtle freeze to the headstand. You don’t really see this that much. But, hey, I know how to do it. Turtle freeze, all right? We’re parallel with the floor, our body. All right, what I’m going to do is we’re going to tuck our head in, and at the same time our hips are going to go over our head.

Tuck in, and our hips go over to tripod. All right? Make sure you point that point of your head where you’re supposed to be on, all right? Not in the front, not all the way in the back. Be in line with the spine, all right? You don’t want to make your spine crooked. You want to be straight with your spine.

All right, here we go. So we’re here, turtle, tuck your head in, into the hips, legs. Tip of the day for this combo, get this stomach strong. Okay? As you noticed, I picked up my hips enough for my head to slide right in. You don’t have to slide your head in. Sometimes you can just place your head in. All right? I did that.

So, you pick up your hips, place your head and just shift your arms. All right? So you’ve just got to play with it. You’ve got to be comfortable with your body and understand your body. Everybody’s body is different. All right, so just learn how to pick yourself up. It’s important. If you want to go up levels, you’ve got to learn how to pick yourself up and bring yourself down.

Straight back, straight back. Now, monkey foot, here we go.

Check it out. So, we’re gonna put the left hand down, alright? You wanna be a little elevated, alright? Hips up, alright? It’s not a crazy flip, but it’s something, you know, you could use in your arsenal.

But don’t do it too many times. You could probably do it once in a row. Don’t do it too many times. It’s not that cool. Alright. Anyways, putting our left hand down, alright? Or whatever side you want, if you wanna do it the other side, that’s up to you, but just follow what I’m doing. Alright? So, left hand down, feet up, and basically we’re gonna throw our hands back, alright? And then we’re gonna throw our body like back with our hands and then reach behind us, alright? And then we’re gonna kind of jump into a handstand, so check it out.

We’re gonna go like that. So, it looks like this, straight back, straight back. Now, it might have a little fear factor into it, but trust me, this one hand on the floor, as long as you have that, you’ll be safe, alright? As long as you keep going back. Follow, follow your hand, alright? Soon as your hand goes all the way back, make sure you follow, you gotta follow through. Here we go. Here. Monkey flip.

Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve got another combo of freezes coming, brought to you by K Glide. So anyways, here we go with the baby freeze to a handstand. So we’re going to go from baby freeze.

Same thing as what we did earlier. We’re on our head, right? So we’re going to get our hips over our head again, so that we’re straight. And at the same time, as soon as we do that we’re sliding our head into the headstand position, okay? We’re sliding our head, so get on top of our head and at the same time our hands are moving to get into our tripod.

It’s very important that we get into the tripod. So let’s do it slow. Let’s do it real slow. So we’re here at the baby and then we’re going to slide our head like that. At the same time our hips go open. So flat on our head, tripod, headstand, back down. One more time. I’m going to slide over. Back, legs open, crossed, whatever. However you want to.

And that’s baby to a headstand.

Yo, what’s good? We’re back for some more. This time we got a simple combination going on.

That’s right, we’re doing combos now. So, you know, we’re taking all the simple moves we learned earlier and we’re putting them together. That’s all we’re doing. So, the turtle freeze. Do you remember the turtle freeze? You know, the base for the float.

Two hands, your head up, your hips up, your body’s parallel with the floor, and your arms are basically the only thing holding you, right? So, check it out. We’re going to go from turtle to baby freeze. Say what?

Alright, here we go. Both hands here, alright? Remember before you go up, you’re on your knees and your feet are on the floor, then you get on your toes and you get up, alright.

Then, from here, we’re going to the baby freeze, alright? Our right hand’s on top. Our right knee goes on top, our head goes down. Good. Then we go to the other side. Turtle freeze again, switch, over. Head on the floor. Awesome. And that is turtle to a baby freeze. To help you get this better, definitely got to work on your core.

Make sure you master each move, alright? Even baby from one side to the other, master that. Cause basically, the turtle’s in between, but with the turtle, you’re going up, your head’s going up. But, if you go from baby to the other baby, you’re just moving your head side to side. Alright? Turtle makes you go up a level and elevates. And it will help you a lot with your strength. Alright?

It’s very important you go down up and down levels, if you just stay stationary within one level, after a while it gets boring. You wanna grab everybody’s attention and plus challenge yourself by going up and down levels. So right now we’re going to go from a baby into our shoulder, all right? Watch the levels. Check it out. Your butt over your head, that’s what you’re thinking the whole time. While you’re pushing up, you’re going to use these biceps right here, you’re going to push and shift your hips over and keep your upper body straight. So we’re here. Turtle. Handstand to elbow freeze. You ready? Now when everything starts up and comes down, people tend to bring everything down. Make sure that doesn’t happen. The only thing that’s going down in levels is your arms.

If your hips, you drop your hips a little bit, which, of course, if you’re going down, you’re going to drop your hips naturally, you’re going to fall. It’s important that when you drop your level from handstand to the elbow, your hips basically shift upward even more. So it’s kind of like you’re going down but then you shift up again. Or you just hold it. You just hold this core so that you don’t move.

Remember, the legs don’t really do that much. If anything, they switch position. So here we go. Handstand to elbow freeze. We’re going to go drop onto our left elbow. It’s very important that you have your handstand mastered. You have to master these things. You have to master each move individually before you can put them together. Don’t get in a rush. Everybody wants to get everything really quick. Hey, slow and steady wins the race. So here we go. Handstand. Handstand. Balance. Then double down. There we go. Elbow freeze.

How to Do a Kip Up in Break Dancing https://howcast.com/videos/508672-how-to-do-a-kip-up-break-dancing/ Thu, 25 Oct 2012 13:44:50 +0000 https://howcast.com/videos/508672-how-to-do-a-kip-up-break-dancing/

Transcript

Yo, what’s up. I’m about to teach you all the kip up. You’ve seen this move in all your favorite kung fu flicks, straight up, and your favorite BBoy does it all the time. I’m going to show you the simplified version, just the regular kip up with our hands, nothing crazy. You need your hands in this. You need your hands to push really hard, really really hard.

Check it out. We’re down here. This is our seat, but we’re going to lay back on our back. We’re going to be crunched in as much as we can. We’re going to crunch ourselves in like that on our backs. Check it out.

So, here we go. Here, like this, alright, so I’m like all the way on top of my shoulders. I can feel myself on my spine. I’m really high. My arms are in. My legs are crunched in.

First, we’re going to practice kicking our legs. So, kick. We’re going to kick, but we want to kick at an angle. So kick like that. We want to kick a lot harder. Alright, so here, kick.

Now we’re going to use our hands. Our hands are going to push with all our might like, get off me son. We’re going to push really hard. So, ready. We’re here, kick. We’re going to kick really hard with our feet. It’s very, very crucial. You kick hard with your feet, and your hands at the same time. If you don’t push up hard enough with your hands you’re just going to lay there. You could probably do it without hands, but that’s more advanced.

So, you ready? I’m ready. You ready? Check it out. Here, we’re going to push our feet all the way up, boom, fast and at the same time, get off me son.

Ready? Here. Push. Okay, we land.

Kip up. How you like me now, son?

Freezes, freezes and more freezes. We’re back for some more, now we’re going from an extremely low level to an extremely high level. Okay, we’re going from a turtle, one of the lowest levels in breaking besides being on your back, a low level.

Now from there we’re going all the way to the highest level, highest excluding when you’re off the floor. So highest handstand. So this requires a lot of strength. So ladies, gentlemen, work on those pushups, core. I’m telling you core is important. Got to make it work, got to make that happen. So we’re going from here, turtle, my head’s elevated, right, my body’s parallel with the floor, and from here our hips are going to go all the way over our head. Okay. Like that.

You want to be straight. Straight. But your hands are going to do this. Soon as they go up, pushing. Boom, like that. Okay. Got it? From here to here. So you’re using your elbows, your whole arm. Soon as you push your hips over, your arms are going to go, hey home-style, like that. Boom. Like that. Boom. So hope you guys are ready to watch me do it. Make it happen. Here we go, here we go. Turtle. Hips are going to go over. Handstand. Turtle, handstand. All right. Kind of before I go, kind of you know I jerk so much, you want to like sink in, kind of like sink in, and then push up, if you want to use momentum. Or if you want to do it home-style, go straight up like that. All right?

I’m about to show you advanced baby freeze.

I’m going to use my right hand as my pilot hand. Check it out. Right here, look at that, now, to here. Remember, baby freeze is like that.

Now, for more advanced, I’m going to go onto my right forearm. So, really slowly, check it out. I’m going to pick up my left hip. The weight from my left knee’s going to go on my left elbow.

So, up here, there. Okay. Then I go back down. This is more advanced. Shoulder, alright. This is a baby freeze, but advanced.

You could also make these freezes more advanced by your leg placement. Do this, that’s a reverse. Put your feet like that, switch it around, whatever your legs do, that’s advanced. It’s all about you being yourself and being creative.

How to Do Reverse Helicopter (Coffee Grinder) in Break Dance https://howcast.com/videos/508657-reverse-helicopter-coffee-grinder-break-dancing/ Thu, 25 Oct 2012 13:44:49 +0000 https://howcast.com/videos/508657-reverse-helicopter-coffee-grinder-break-dancing/

So now we’re here to do the coffee grinder, which I call the helicopter. Remember, all these moves, there’s different names. We didn’t have the Internet back then, so people would see moves and just put names on it. It wasn’t like everybody knew the name or the correct terminology. So don’t get mad, there’s different names.

Alright, so anyways, the helicopter. We’re going to go right into the seat. This is our seat. Remember, we’re going to start here and end here a lot of the times when we’re in footwork, alright? So, I’m going to do with my right leg, alright? Remember the first helicopter, or coffee grinder, that we did was like this. In the previous video.

Now we’re going to go backwards, alright? Alright, remember I stressed this part: lean forward, then leaning back; lean forward, leaning back. Alright? This is crucial. But, we’re going to sneak our leg in between there, alright? Lean forward, put my hands, my right leg’s going to go around, and that’s when I lean back, and I jump back, alright? So lean forward, hop, your leg comes through. Lean forward, you’re going to hop forward, and lean back. Alright? And when you get good at it, you can use one hand. Oh, snap. Alright? Two hands, alright? But make sure you get the two hands first.

But, it’s important that you guys do it both ways. So, we’ll do it on our left side. Remember, the more you do things on each side, the more vocabulary you have. Alright, so now same thing. Alright, I’m going to lean forward, put my hand, my left leg’s going to come around behind us, I’m going to hop forward, lean back. Alright? Lean forward, lean back. Alright? Keep your leg straight. Other leg.

Helicopter, aka coffee grinder, let’s go.

Now, we have head spin tips from Kid Glyde. It’s not my forte, but I, trust me, I’ve been around the game, I’m working on it, and I know the tips that can make your head spins a lot better.

Alright, so, basically, you know, if you’re a beginner, you want to just get your head spins, don’t worry about your legs. Alright? Just make sure your legs are straight and ready to go. Alright, as long as you have the handstand pretty good, and you start tapping, this is the key.

Alright. So, your going to start, alright, we’re going to, either four corners, four sides, whatever you want to call it, we’re going to say four corners. Alright? So, what were are going to do is, we’re here, right? Whichever direction you want to face, you’re going to face the first side, alright? The first corner. So, I go this way.

So, I am going to face this way, hands, legs. Then to the back. Then to the side. Then to the front. You’ll want to keep doing that over and over. Don’t use your legs at first. Alright? Make sure, you know, you just tap. One. Two. Three. Four. And, then, when you get good at, go all the way to the back. All the way to the front. All the way to the back. All the way to the front.

That’s, you know, half turns. Alright? And, then, you do the full turns. Boo-yah, boo-yah, boo-yah. Alright, then, from there, you just keep working on it. Alright, then, when you have the balance, then you start using your legs. Alright? So, check it out.

Yo, we’re rolling, man. We’re rolling. Check it out. 2000s, we’re about to do this. It’s 1990s to the next level. All right?

Basically, this is the 2000 position. The hand I spin on is my left hand, all right? Left hand is on the bottom, right hand is on top. So we’re going to do it through little gradual steps. We’re going to do it the dynamic rocker style, the dynamic rocker style.

All right, so first hand down, just like the 1990s. We’re putting the right hand down, right? As soon as that right hand goes down, the left leg goes up in the air. All right? The left leg goes up. As soon as we’re in the air, we’re putting that left hand down right next to it. All right? The further you put it away, the harder for you to spin.

Then you’ve got to bring your whole body to that area. You don’t want to do that, all right? Stay centered. Center is the key, the key, man. All right? Check it out. Place it at the left, left hand spin, all right? Now we’re going to whip. Once our legs are open and we put our hands together, our legs come in and we just pray to God we do not fall. All right? Ready. Right hand.

How to Do an Elbow Freeze in Break Dancing https://howcast.com/videos/508662-how-to-do-an-elbow-freeze-break-dancing/ Thu, 25 Oct 2012 13:44:49 +0000 https://howcast.com/videos/508662-how-to-do-an-elbow-freeze-break-dancing/

Transcript

Welcome, once again, Howcast. Love you guys. We’re here for the elbow tutorial, elbow freeze, and basically, this is one of the basic freezes that can help you with your power moves. Okay. Why do I say that? Because it helps with your core. Remember the four points I said. So your shoulders, your hips, you’ve got to get that area strong. And this move right here? This move right here, you need it.

So check it out. Here’s how we’re going to do it. We’re going to start with our left elbow. It’s important you guys do it with both elbows. But let’s start with our left elbow. Check it out, check it out. This is a straight line, okay? Just like any art form, like I was saying earlier, we need our lines. We are going to use our hands to grab the floor. This is your roots. Grab that floor. So, you’re straight. Now, where your elbow is, pretend there’s an imaginary line from your hand, and your other hand is going to go right there. okay? See that? Creating lines. This is important. Not this, not that, not over here, right there. This is important.

Left arm, on the floor, right hand down. Okay, just like I told you, the lines. Now. This is the most important part. Your hips need to be up. Since my left is on the floor, my right foot is going to be on the floor like that. Now, with my left leg, my left leg is going to kick in the air. And once I kick in the air, you’re not going to kick so much. You want to use, remember, your core, to lift yourself up. Don’t use your legs. Don’t throw it. Use your core to go up. Boom, up. And right there, you get your balance, and you want to hold this for 30 seconds. Your goal is to have it for 30 seconds.

So imagine. You go to do it, you hold it for two or three seconds, you fall. All right. You go back up. You hold it for another five. You fall. Until you get 30 seconds. That’s good. So you do that every day.

The second one, there’s two, there’s two forms, all right? Here we go. Right here, you’ve got to get this. This is the first one, second one, third one. Do that every day, and you’re going to be powerful. Just like me!

Do your turn, boom. You’re in the air. Okay? Work on that, and I promise you, your power is going to get better, your freezes, everything.

Freezes are essential to be a B-boy.

You got to put your freezes either as a comma or a period to your sentence. Alright? It’s good to do a move, freeze and the go back to what you’re doing. And then end it. Regardless of what you’re doing, you need to freeze somewhere in there you know what I am saying?

Standing, witting whatever. So right now we’re going to do baby freeze into the elbow freeze. Alright?

Just like the turtle to the elbow, we put hips over. And now you need to even exaggerate it more because now we’re in the lower level. Alright? So exaggerate. And we’re going to use our head to get onto our elbow. Alright so check it out. We’re here in our baby freeze. Okay? And now, remember we’re going to lift our hips over our head and as soon as we slide, the elbow are going to come forward. Alright? So you’re here to here.

Remember was straight, hips over the head, and don’t put so much weight on your legs. If you make your legs heavy and you put weight on them. You make them move, you’re going to fall somewhere alright? Make sure all of the weight is right here. Control it. Control, control. So here we go. Baby. Alright, are hips are going to go over and our heads are going to slide in and our elbows going up. Like that.

All right. We’re here to do 1990s with Kick Live.

That’s right. I’m going to help you guys out. Advance move, remember, this is advance move. I hope you guys have been practicing your handstands, especially on against the wall. I hope you’ve got balance. If you can, work on handstand pirouettes, going upside down and hand-standing, going from one side to the other.

All right. This is the next step. 1990s, we’re going to spin. All right. So, I spin on my left hand, All right. If you spin on your right hand, you do everything I’m saying opposite. All right. Check it out.

I’m going to put my right hand down for balance. All right. First, my whole body, my legs are going to be open, a little discombobulated, whatever.

All right. As soon as I put my left hand down, I’m not putting it over here. I’m putting it right next to my right hand. All right. I’m putting it right here and I’m going for the spin. Once I go for the spin, my whole body comes together. All right. Or you could go into the bicycle position, which your legs are like this. You can do that. All right.

As soon as you put your hand down, all right, you’re going to spin, but you want your, say, your head next to your arm like that. You don’t want to be like this. It’s harder to spin. Remember physics. The closer you are, the better. You don’t want to bring your head to your hands because if you bring your head to your hands, your head’s really heavy. You’re going to tilt your body that way, so you want to center your head and bring your arms close to it. Bring your arms to it. All right. All right.

I’m going to put my right hand down. As soon as I put my right hand down, my right leg is going to kick back. My left leg is going to lift me up. It’s going to lift me up to get into a one-handed handstand. Yes, a one-handed handstand. All right. All right. Do handstands. All right. One, two. Okay. That’s a 1990, one full rotation.

As soon as you put the right hand down, go for the left. You go for the spin. Make sure your head goes outside. All right, so your spinning head goes outside, that way. All right. Do it again.

All right. Kid Glyde back again. Now, we are going to take our handstands to the next level. We’re going to do one-handed handstands. Alright, we’re going to do stages. First, we’re going to do one-handed handstands, and then, we’re going to work our way into inverts. Alright. Inverts, you got to do. I can’t see you come out just doing one-handed handstands. It’s not cool. Alright, anyways, I hope you guys have been practicing your handstands, because that is crucial for this move. Alright.

What we are going to do first, I want you guys, if you have a wall, is to practice doing one-handed handstands. First, do your two-handed handstands. Alright. And, once you feel comfortable, you’re going to lean your hips over to whatever side. If you’re going to use your right hand, you’re going to lean your hips over to the right side, and you’re going to make an “L.” Alright, your legs are going to shift the weight over. Okay.

Alright, you’re going to shift the weight over like this. So, you can hold it. Alright. Making the “L.” Make the “L.” You’ve got to make the “L.” And, once you make the “L,” you let go with your hand. Hold it in there. You to work on the other side. Once you work on that, then we can move onto the next move, which is the invert. Alright. So, let’s do the invert.

Invert. What we are going to do, right, I’m using my right hand. Alright. Remember, if you do it the other way, flip it up. Alright, I’ll do it the other way. So, anyway, I am going to put my right hand down. Alright. And, once my legs go into the air. Alright? I am going to shift my body like this. Alright? I’m going to shift my body. I’m going to look at the ceiling. Actually, I’m going to look at you guys. Alright? I’m going to look at y’all. Alright. So, my legs are going to be in the air. And, you want to make sure that your hips are over your head. Alright. If your hips are low, your body is low, and you want to be over. Alright. It’s a handstand. Alright? Check it out.

So, right hand down on the floor first. Alright? So, right hand, then, you’re going to shift your body. So, let’s do that first. Step one. Okay. Now, step two. Hands. Chest. Alright. You see that? Push your chest forward. Alright. You want to push it up even more towards the ceiling. Alright, and your legs, straighten them out.

Actually, let’s keep your legs crunched in, it’s easier that way. Right hand down. Chest forward. Alright. One hands. Chest. Legs. Okay.
