LaShonna: Hi everybody. I’m LaShonna.
Victor: And I’m Victor Sho.
LaShonna: And today we’re going to teach you how to do the cupid shuffle. The cupid shuffle is a popular party line dance known worldwide. So we’ll teach you the basic one if you don’t know it, and if you already know how to do the cupid shuffle we’ll give you some little flavor to add to it so you can be the best cupid shuffler out there.
Victor: That’s right.
LaShonna: First steps, four moves to the right. So we just take a step one, two, three, four steps to the left. One, two, three, four. Now four is the magic number because now you have four kicks. Kick right, kick left, kick right, kick left. Most important part of it all is the walk it out. You walk it out and you’re switching to the other side to start all over again. This dance repeats front, side, back, side. Front, side, back, and side until you’ve cupid shuffled your little heart away. Okay?
So, one more time we start to the right. Right, two, three, now to the left. Left, two, four kicks here. One, kick, three, kick. And walk it out to switch to the other side. So now we’re going to do it four times. The first time will be a basic cupid shuffle and the next three times we’re going to add some spice to it. Okay? Ready?
Victor: Yeah, let’s do it.
LaShonna: Five, six, seven, eight. Right, two, three. To the left, two, three, kick it out. One, two, three, walk it out.
Victor: One, two, three, four.
LaShonna: To the right. Right, left.
Victor: One, two, three, four.
LaShonna: Now we kick. We’re going to walk it out really low this time. Get low. Walk it out low. Add this here. Now arms up. Arms up to the left. We’re going to look back. Look back. Hey! Now walk it out. Last time here we go. To the right, push. Let’s push these arms. And push. Now kick it out. Kick, kick, kick. And then we walk it out. Great job you guys. That is the cupid shuffle.
