Now I’m going to show you how to make a cute little shoe. You could use a shoe on a birthday cake, or even a graduation cake, or any type of cake for any special girl. So I’m going to take some black fondant. I’m just going to roll it into a ball and I’m going to make a nice small shoe to accent my purse on the cake.
What I’m going to do is just pinch out a little bit of the bottom and that will be our heel. Then what I’m going to do is just take my fingers and roll it around the middle of that sort of tear drop shape that we made and take some corn starch so that the shoe doesn’t end up sticking to my fingers. Then we’re going to pinch it up like this. I’m going to lay it flat and then I’m going to pinch out the front because I want a pointy heel. Just make it flat over here.
And you can make this as big or as small as you want. You can make a really big one, so it could just be the center of your cake. And after I’ve made the shape I’m going to take a balling tool with a small balled end, and just going to press it inside of my shoe where the foot would go. And after I’ve made that shape you can accent it however you want. I’m going to just put a nice white pearl at the front so we have a cute little shoe for our cake.
