How to Do Same Arm Flat behind Back Flair Bartending Move

Transcript

Hi. I’m Chris Cardone. I’m going to teach you how to do a flat behind the back with the same hand. Now you start off with what you’re going to use, whether it’s a bottle or a tin. You’re going to take your bottle and you’re going to bring it behind your back.

You’re release point is kind of behind your butt and when you get to this point you’re going to release it and you’re going to shift your hips. When you shift your hips, your hand is going to be in the motion to grab the same bottle with the same hand. So you’re going to take your bottle, you’re going to throw it, catch it with the same hand. Again the most important part of this is that it’s a flat and a flat means no rotation.

So instead of taking the bottle and rotating it, you’re going to keep it flat and that way you can use it whether it’s a full bottle, half full bottle, or empty bottle. You can flip your bottle. So you can do this move no matter what level of liquid is in the bottle when it goes flat. If you use rotation, you have to be under two ounces. So again looking at it from behind, the concept is you want to take your bottle, bring it around, and when you get to your butt, basically your oppose butt cheek is your release point, and then you’re going to push with your finger the bottle in the opposite direction so that way it continues going in the same level. So it’s staying flat. So you get to here, you push, and then you turn your hips and you catch your bottle. To do it quickly, it looks like this. And we catch our bottle like that.

And that’s how to do a flat behind the back with the same arm. Come around, throw it, catch it, flat behind the back same arm.
