How to Make Pecan Pie

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2: Mix butter, syrup, eggs, sugar, and vanilla Combine the melted butter, corn syrup, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl and stir until everything is well mixed.
  • TIP: Add bourbon and chocolate chips, and reduce the corn syrup to ½ cup to make a twist on a traditional pecan pie.
  • Step 3: Stir in pecans Stir the chopped pecans into the bowl. Be sure to completely coat the pecans with the butter mixture.
  • Step 4: Pour mixture into pie crust Pour the mixture into the pie crust. Use the back of a spoon to smooth out the top of your pie.
  • TIP: Cover the edges of the pie crust with aluminum foil if the edges begin to brown too quickly.
  • Step 5: Bake for one hour Bake the pie in the preheated oven for one hour, or until the pie is set.
  • TIP: Tap the center of the top of the pie lightly with your finger to see if it’s set. If it springs back, it’s done.
  • Step 6: Cool for two hours Remove the pie from the oven, and place it on a wire rack. Let it cool for two hours, and then enjoy your delicious dessert.
