Today we’re going to talk about how to disassemble the 9mm Uzi.
The first thing you want to do before disassembling the Uzi is to make sure the gun is safe and empty. So you remove the magazine, pull the action back, do a quick visual inspection and make sure there’s no bullets left in the gun. From there the gun is ready to disassemble.
The first thing you want to do, just in front of the rear sight is a little lever here. You want to push it forward. When you do that the top will pop right off. You put that down.
Right here is your bolt. Okay, that’s pushed in with springs so as you pull it off be sure to be careful. When you remove it, everything will stay together.
From here you could take this apart if you wished to clean it but it’s generally good to keep everything together for reassembly purposes.
This is your firing pin right here. You don’t want to get that dirty.
Once you have that apart, there’s nothing left to take apart unless you wish to remove the barrel.
If you want to remove the barrel of the gun, just push this little button here and you unscrew this lug here. Take that off and the barrel comes right off for easier cleaning if you wish or if you want to change barrels to a different size.
