Speaker 1: Everyone wants to achieve success, right?
Speaker 2: Absolutely.
Speaker 1: To me, what is success without someone to share it with. I think that’s arguably, I know, seriously, it’s the most important thing, I feel, in life. If you were going to learn a new language, or learn a new job set, how many hours would it take you?
Speaker 2: A lot.
Speaker 1: Like, dozens, minimum.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I don’t even want to think about it. That’s a lot.
Speaker 1: And how many times have you heard when you’re talking about dating, someone’s like, ‘Oh, don’t worry. It’ll happen.’ A lot of it has to happen. You need to approach dating a lot of times as a skill set. This is something you need to devote some time to, that you need to work on, and that you need to make sure that you are putting enough time and effort into it.
Speaker 2: Absolutely, and that’s the thing. You need to understand that dating, getting advice for it, is actually a great thing. Because there are so many ways to get help with working out and help with eating better. But dating is such an important vital skill …
Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2: … that getting coached on it is actually a really essential item I think.
Speaker 1: Absolutely, because we’re almost expected to know what’s gonna happen, and how to do it. And we know …
Speaker 2: You could end up really messing up.
Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 2: And you could end up with someone who, everybody says, ‘Well, if it’s meant to be, it’ll be.’ Which …
Speaker 1: Be yourself.
Speaker 2: … is great. Yeah, exactly, and be yourself. If yourself is texting somebody 17 times an hour, and calling them 4 times a day …
Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2: … and then showing up on their doorstep. That might be yourself, but it’s not going to help you in the world of dating.
Speaker 1: So what I say …
Speaker 2: So, learning.
Speaker 1: … is, to learn any skill devote at least minimum one hour a week that you devote solely to this. Whether it’s reading the latest articles, following the trends, going out there and trying to meet people, talk to people, going to speed dates. Whatever it is, make sure that you’re setting aside time. Because as any skill set it’s gonna take a while for you to build and become proficient at it. Once you do, it allows you to go much further. So one, don’t get down on yourself that it doesn’t happen immediately.

Speaker 1: Anything worth doing is gonna take some time. So, when you come at it with the mindset that you’re gonna develop a new skill set, you can really grow from there.
