Hi, my name is Keith Charley. I have been shooting guns for most of my life. I am an active police officer right now. I’ve been a police officer for 16 years. Started out with the New York City Police Department and I have moved on to the Suffolk County Police Department where I am currently active as a patrol officer. I have been shooting recreationally my entire life.
In my police career, I’ve earned Distinguished Expert every year in all my training exercises and I’ve taken several, several schools and training academies over the years to further my own skills and I’ve firearms. I really love to shoot. I think it’s one of the best hobbies you could have. It’s a lot of fun. It’s part of my career, so my proficiency at it is definitely very important, but also it’s a lot of fun. You go to the range. The target shooting, it’s amazing.
I also teach at an academy here in New York City. We teach everything from intro, the basic NRA intro course to basic pistol handling to tactical classes. We do security classes. We have a lot of really great, great pistol tactics we teach. The name of that school is the Cramaga Academy.
